I remember once reading about a big buck (260ish) killed in Utah quite a few years back. The hunter said that the only reason he got the buck was because they had a rare very early frost that took all the leaves off the scrub oak.
Its cold early where I am, and it made me wonder if Utah might get lucky and have all the scrub oak leaves on the ground for the rifle hunt. How cold has it been? When is the Utah rifle hunt? Weather might create some good opportunity this year.
