Lost Book Cliffs Buck

Maybe some of you read another thread I posted about a buck a hunter in our party injured.

We spent hour and hours between 3-4 days looking for this buck and never found it. The hunter that shot the deer chose not to harvest another animal. Im just curious to know if anyone else out there may have seen the deer or know of someone who harvested it. We are just wanting a little closure hoping that it wasnt wasted.

Im guessing it was about 22-23 inches wide and quite tall, 4x4, or maybe a 4x3. (Im sure there could be some ground shrinkage, but thats my best guess). It was shot near Big Park road maybe 2 miles east of the Wolf Den juncture. It was later tracked north towards where the old cabin is east of Wolf Den. (I hope someone knows where this is). It was seen alive on Sunday morning by another group of hunters moving north, but really struggling. Our best guess is that it was shot in the neck area. If you were looking the same direction as the buck, it would have been shot on the right hand side. If anyone has any info on this buck, send me a pm.

If you get a chance this next weekend you might head out in the area and look for birds. That would be the only other way I can think of that you might find this buck.

Id go if I wasnt 5 hours away and if it was mine. Just crossing my fingers hoping to get lucky that someone knows something.
