LAST EDITED ON Nov-13-09 AT 11:46PM (MST)[p]This year I decided to take my girls with me on opening day. They are ages 4 and 7 so I knew I would have to keep our hike a short one. My son, age 9, decided to go with his uncle and cousins because he said the girls would be to loud and we wouldn't see any deer. Boy was he wrong. We left the truck at daylight and hiked up a canyon to a rock pile where we could see a good burn. We were also near a trail that a good buck had been using between the water and his bed. A few minutes after sitting down on our rock and getting the girls to settle down the old buck came sneaking down the trail right to us. I whispered to the girls to cover their ears cause daddy was going to shoot. At the shot the buck went right down hard so we started to head over to him. He jumped up and I had to put two more shots into him before he expired. When we got over to the buck the girls were so excited! It is my best buck ever and one of the best hunts I have ever experienced. Having my girls along was an unbelievable thrill. When we got to the buck we could hear some people walking nearby. It was my son and brother and nephews who had pushed the buck to us. It worked out that all my kids were in on this one. I am very blessed to have had such a memorable deer hunt in 2009. p.s. can't figure out how to upload photos. need help please.

Congrats on a outstanding first post. I'd help with your pics but i'm not that good at it myself. I do look forward to seeing them though!

Welcome to site!!!

Congrats, hunting as a family is what it is all about. Can't wait for my youngns to get a few years older so I can take them with me!

If you know how to resize a photo, then it is fairly easy.
Create a post, give it a title, click on the link that is about 1 inch above your post that says "click here to upload your photo." Click on the Browes button, and select the sized photo you wish to post. Click the Upload button. You will see this message.

The MonsterMuleys.com Hunting Forums

"Photo was successfully uploaded to remote server. The URL of your photo is ...............................
Copy the above address and paste it in the message you are posting."

Copy the entire line that starts with http... and ends with .jpg
Then paste that link inside your post. then click the preview button to see if it worked.

If you don't know how to re-size a photo, then right click it, select opon file with.. and choose paint. In the top left corner select image, then select stretch/skew. In the top 2 boxes put 25, then save file as new name. then do the above.

good luck
