Being in the 2nd year of the dedicated hunter program and with a buck taken last year, I was going to pass on this buck. However when I got a good look at him with the bino's, he became all to familiar and I had to take him. During the summer some 30 miles north I had got some great live photos of him on a limited entry unit. I never would have thought he would migrate to the open side. Now I just hope I draw an out of state tag next year..

Way to go Jeremy, you always get it done and I always look forward to your pics throughout the year. You almost make me wanna move back down south. Lol

Beautiful Buck! Thanks for sharing your photos of when you photographed him earlier too. Thats great you saw him again.

Very cool having the live pictures to go with him. General season and all. You made the right choose.

Very nice, man a 30 mile migrate that is move thru some real estate.

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

Nice Buck! I thought the pic of him with his travelling buddy was pretty cool, too! When I see similar bucks like them, I usually refer to them as "bookend bucks":)!

Its about time we heard from you this year. Another nice southern utah buck Jer.

It is kind of neat how his main beam grows up and matches the G4 on his right side. Its almost like his main beam didn't grow, only the G4, if that makes any sense.

Robb, it's funny you should mention that.. I actually should have taken him with my bow. I was sitting a water hole and had sat it all morning long with my bow in hand.. Went back that evening to sit the water hole with my kids and knew they wouldn't be able to sit still and quiet enough for bow range, so I only took my rifle. However upon getting to the family camp the kids elected to stay at camp (cousins are funner then dad) and didn't want to go with me. I didn't have time to run back to town for my bow now.. So I just went and sat the water anyways. Trust me I seriously thought about passing the buck and sitting it the next couple nights with my bow. But I couldn't make myself do it with all the other hunters in the area. But had I had my bow with me I am sure I would have had an arrow on it's way. I just wished he would have been thirsty that morning! Because for me taking one with a rifle is just not the same as harvesting one with an arrow.
Here is another pic of him early on.
Like Saskman said, it is funny how he looks like he just didn't grow a main beam.
