Hey Rydub01 asked me to post these up for him, I think he is going to get on here and tell us about his hunt.

He killed a stud.

That, my friend is as sweet a buck as you could hope for on the Books. Great job. You got to love that chair. In 26 years of being in a chair, that is the best invention yet. I've had mine 4 years and love it.

What a beauty of a buck. Love those heavy antlers. Congrats on a job well done.

Hey sorry it took me forever to tell you the story.
first off it took me 8 years to finally draw the tag(5 in the wheel-chair). i've been hunting since i was born and this is by far my biggest buck and one of the funnest i've been on. we put on about 2500 miles over a 9 day span covering the north and south sides of the book cliffs. we actually ran into this buck on the first day of hunting the south but decided to wait because it was the first buck we seen. after a few more days of hunting we figured he was the best buck we had seen. after trying to track him down for a few more days we ran into him on the way back to camp around 11am. he was in the tallest thickest brush down there and we could only see his horns. we watched him for about a 1000 yards until he made his way into a small opening in the brush which is where i dropped the hammer. he was at about a 100 yards and only made it about 30 more after the shot. thanks to my dad, bro-in-law, dads friend and the 7mm short mag we were able to down this 5x6 beauty.

Great buck! Looks like a happy hunter and a proud Dad! You are probably like me Ray.....you get just as excited when your kids kill a nice trophy as when you yourself pulls the trigger. Congrats.
