Hunting Shows

I'm assuming like me most of us are done for the year, so like many Saturday mornings I like to watch hunting shows on TV hoping to find a Mule Deer hunt on TV, but the majority of the shows are Whitetail hunts. After watching so many of these it became increasingly amusing just how many specialty products these hunters use to hunt Whitetails.

I thought it would be fun to hear from everyone and see how many different products you can think of. It can be anything from any category Scent Blockers, Tree Stands, Safety Products, Food Plots, Deer Food, Supplements, Trail Cameras, Grunt Calls, C'Mere Deer attractents and many many more.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for those guys to keep hunting Whitetails and leave the Mule Deer alone. I'm not looking to start some controversy with this thread I was just taken back by how much product they promote for hunting Whitetails.

Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving...

there is alot more whitetail hunting done on private land and the majority of mule deer are on public land. I love hunting muleys here in southern az but i also grew up hunting whitetails in tx. It is fun to setup a property for hunting big whitetails (stands, foodplots, rattling, calling, etc.....) knowing that you noone else can hunt your spot. At the same time, it is fun to sit on a hill, glassing for hours, and spot&stalk big muleys. whitetails are where all of these companies on TV make the big buck$.
Have a good turkey day yourself

I posted on this topic before. I agree there are tons of whitetail products out there. Some of them are ridiculous like the Primos Deer Droppings to put in scrapes. I think Primos jumped the shark with that product.

As Chase said, whitetails are where manufacturers make money. Whitetail hunters are the largest single group of hunters to market to because whitetail out number every other game animal by far. Because the majority of the whitetail's habitat is in the South, East and Midwest, it is mostly private ground which creates a marketing gold mine. Every guy on private is looking for an advantage to pull deer a few hundreds yards from the neighbor's 40 acres to his 40 acres.

You see that's what I'm talking about, I had not seen or heard of Deer Dropings (LOL). I also heard of scent free chewing gum this stuff just cracks me up, I know our fore fathers of hunting did not use all that stuff and they managed to get their deer.

I think the worst product idea I've ever seen for hunting was at the shot show about 10 years ago: "Still Steamin' Whitetail Semen". It looked like a bottle of elmers glue. Maybe it works if you're trying to cull gay deer. I don't think that product went very far.

HOW ABOUT THE COUGH SILENCER .....EVERY WHITETAIL HUNTER WILL NEED TO SUPRESS A COUGH ATTACK. FLIP IT AROUND & YOU CAN CATCH A FART JUST THE SAME....J/K......(DONT GET THE ENDS MIXED UP...YOUR BUDDY MIGHT WANT TO BARROW IT)..............YD.

You try spot and stalking on flat land, while trying to look through the thickest cedar and mesquite bushes and oak trees you have ever seen.

And when you sit down you get cactus up your a$$ so far you need help getting it out.
