Just wanted to post a quick picture of 2009 Nebraska muley. I know he's not 200 inches but he's a giant to me. My biggest yet. He's a 24" 5x5! I left him with the taxidermist and flew back to Ohio today. What do you think he'll score?

Great Job--he is a nice deer and most importantly, he's a great deer for you. He's in the 140 range.

Great buck. My dad and I just got home from hunting deer in Nebraska. It was a great year with lots of deer. Did you notice a lot of corn still standing?

Yes, I did notice a lot of standing corn! Also heard a farmers report on the radio that said 20% of Nebraska's corn was still unharvested. But I can't say that I saw a lot of deer. I thought the warm temps really slow the daytime activity! This was the only shooter buck I saw all week! Usually I see 2 or 3 before I can get on one. Oh well , sometimes it only takes 1. I really hope he breaks 150. For me... Thats a great deer... especially in Nebraska!

Good buck! Its tough when your not seeing much out in the feild! Congrads!

trash220...what the heck is your problem? there is to many people like you on this forum! Give the guy some props. You know alot of people need to learn this saying on this forum "If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all!" Heck i was taught that in elementry school. Now im trying to teach it to men! what a joke you are!

He is a great buck especially for public land in Nebraska! He is on the upper side of muleys killed there.
We were lucky enough to get permission to hunt some private property and saw a lot more deer.

I guess they had a really wet year this year and are having a hard time harvesting anything without it molding.

Congrats again on a great buck!

Seems like there always has to be a jerk commenting on these posts.

That is a nice buck, my friend. To me, each animal I harvest is special, and if it is a trophy to you, nothing else matters. You have my congratulations. Enjoy looking at him on your wall!

Doesn't matter what he scores. He scored high with you and that is good enough.Congratilations on a good buck and I bet with the feed he was on he will eat at about 350 points.Congrats again!!!

Great job! Im sure that you had a great time. It is hard to tell alot about a deer in one straight on picture but he looks like he is close to that 145-150. As for trash220 he is a extremely accomplished deer hunter he has posted one 180 inch deer so he can belittle other hunters over there deer. Your deer looks good and if you are getting him mounted you must like him and that is all that matters!

Nice!

We hunted the archery season on the western side of NE. We didnt score but we sure learned a lot. Congrats on a great deer. By the way which region did you all hunt?

I shot a buck just like that about 4 years ago in Utah he scored 138 and I was pretty pumped up I had him mounted thinking this will probably be the biggest buck I ever shoot, the following year I shot a 180 inch buck in the next canyon over, hope that happens for you as well, since then I have passed up a bunch of bucks like my first one and wonder why because it still is a nice buck.

by the look on your face he was plenty big enough. way to go! I wish I would have taged one as nice. since you asked about score my guess is gross 140ish. score him out and let us know how well our guess were.

Thanks for posting your photo

Archery is a year round commitment!!

Thanks to everyone for all the encouraging comments! As far as his score ... no numbers yet? I've asked the taxidermist to rough score him when he has a chance. Hopefully I can make it out west next year again? Maybe I'll try my hand at Antelope? Muley/Antelope combo would be sweet!!! By the way, I'll throw a few more pics up next week. Finally got them off the camera and on the pc.

Nice buck! I really like the eyeguards. I also was thinkin 150 at first. After a quick rough score I came up with 140 gross.
At first glance he looks like a 145 buck that has eyeguards that could push him to the 150 class.
He is actually a 130 class buck with eyeguards that take him to the 140 class.
Thanks for sharing!
