I spent the best part of last weekend on the Henry's with my camera and here's a few of the photos I took. I will post some now and some later this week as time permits. After photographing deer I went over to the Rattlesnake and took some sheep photos which I will post some of those on the sheep forum.

+1 on great photos. I also am interested in what camera you are using and what setup. Those are the kind of pictures I want to get out in the hills and take.

The pictures turned out great Bill! It was good talking to you out there. I'm looking forward to seeing the other pictures you took. Good job!

Great pics! You must have a good camera...mine never look like that.

Nice photos, Billy. I have been looking forward to seeing your work since we met on the mountain. It's nice of you to share your passion with all of us on MM. We appreciate your efforts greatly.
Yak.
ps. the suspense of your Rattlesnake trip is killing this sheep fanatic, got to go.....

Yak, it was good to meet you guys too. If you like sheep go to the sheep forum and look under Ewes, Lambs and Small Rams. I posted about 10 photos there yesterday. They are much better than my deer photos because on most of them I was able to use my tripod and all my deer photos are hand held.

All these photos were taken with an Olympus E-3. It's a professional camera in the hands of a rookie. It takes great photos, but the shutter is very noisy, so that's a big disadvantage when you get close to wildlife. No matter what camera or lens you are using, one of the main secrets to getting good wildlife photos, is getting close and taking lots of photos and hopefully a few will turn out. I have bow hunted for 50 years, so its taught me a lot about getting close to critters. But I'm a rookie when it comes to photography, but I love its challenge and its a lot like bowhunting itself.

Here's a few more deer photos and I will post a few more later today.
