A lot of you had asked me to let you know how this guy scored. My taxidermist called tonight and said he scored him at 187 1/8 gross. Since the drying period isn't quite up yet it's unofficial but I couldn't be more thrilled. Also, thanks to buglinbilly who did a great job cleaning up my field photos and making them respectable.

Fantastic buck! I was one of the guys that commented before you shot him. I thought he was a good mature buck who should get into the 170's based on your video. He has a lot more mass than it looked in the video which makes everything else appear smaller. Great job glad you got him!

I agree with some that your buck is bigger than its score. That is a toad of a buck in anybody's book!!!

Again, one of the better threads of the year. From start to finish, a class act and job very well done. Congrats!!!

Agreed. Your buck is a stud and in sheer visual effect far surpasses his score. The mass of that rack is "heavy duty". Your buck is a great example of why you don't concentrate all that much on "what he scores". Congrats on one of the finer bucks posted on this site this year...and with a bow no less!! Hope he gets a very prominent place on the wall where everyone can admire this great piece of God's handiwork.

Great looking buck Doug. He's a nice one.

I agree. Awsome buck. A lot of the bucks I see on here, I seem to think look a little smaller than their score.....This one looks bigger.

A fitting ending to this great series of threads would be some pic's of this dude once mounted and hanging on the wall!

Thanks again!!

Sorry about the extra posts. I couldn't get it to work so I kept trying and it posted them all. Maybe Muley Talk will remove them:)
