I have a lot of neighbors that complain that the deer eat the plants in their yards. I actually would love having the deer eat in my yard to somewhat replace what used to be their winter range here in the foothills. Any ideas on what I could plant in my yard that mule deer like and is good for them at the same time? My desire isn't to intentionally feed the deer, I just want some deer friendly plants in my yard.

I would plant oats, corn or even better just put coco puff's out they love them.

My Wife planted hundreds of flower bulbs. After three years we have yet to see any daffodils or tulips bloom. The deer love to eat the emerging buds.

They will eat anything. Roses, crab apples, all of my perennial flowers and ground cover. They eat everything but my grass.

They like pine trees, but not spruces. They love clover. They like pumpkins, squash, carrots, turnips, etc. They like every kind of fruit tree but especially apples. They like aspen. They love arborvitae and cypress, but not juniper.

They like watermelons too, They ate over 30 out of my garden this summer. But ya just got to put up with it I guess.
