Did anyone catch Nate Simmons on TV last night bowhunting in Utah? It looked like a great area, I have 8 points for Utah and would love to give this hunt a try, does anyone know what unit or region he was hunting in? PM me if you would like. Thanks.

The heading said they were 13 miles in Utah's back country....not sure where that would be

plan on getting a little two point unless you wanna hike 10 miles in the middle of nowhere. thats utah for you.

They played the rest of the show today, Nate arrowed a great buck.

I don't mind a long walk,I'm just looking for the trailhead! Feel free to send a PM, I'm itching to take my Mathews on a hunt like this in 2010.

Loved the eastmans show . With all of this weight loss talk going on the site . My boys and I are setting a goal to get into shape to try something like this . The hunt was great . All threw the show I was trying to guess where the hunt was going on ? My only guess would be the Uintah's ? Anyone know where in utah the hunt was ?

I was thinking uintahs when they said 13 miles.. But I have not seen an area that looked like that, Uintahs usually have rockslides, not sagebrush.. Looked like a pretty big river in the bottom too. Maybe bookcliffs roadless?

I get Eastman's magazines, and the hunt Nate was on was a LE Deer unit. Last year was his first year to apply for deer in Utah! I am pretty sure he was in the Bookcliffs!

I'm also curious at what area this is. If anyone knows or could some insight on what area in Utah would be good for a backcountry hunt like this. Never done a back country hunt and a buddy and I have been talking of going on such of a hunt. Looks like a blast.

I thought that was a really great show. Lots of nice bucks in great looking country. These kind of hunts are my favorite and i wish they all could be just like this one. There was also a Eastman's show last year with the same kind of hunt. Good ones!!

I would have put that buck in the mid to high 180's gross with about a 180 net, certainly not as high as they claim but i've been wrong plenty of times :)
