I think horns shrink when it's cold...

Our brrr nippy weather has separated the girls from the boys and the horns seem to be shrinking! Lots of babys still hanging out with mama but the big guys are laying low and healing up.

They grew a little today- it must have been the warm sun! I found this big guy that won't score very well at maybe 1/2 mile and mid-day sun- a bad combination for the picture but you can see pretty much what kind of buck he was.

Then as the sun let up a little I found some cute little bucks at closer range that gave me some great shots, for some reason they let me get closer when I don't have 200 lbs of slobbering barking idiots at my feet milling about.

Yep that's a man-sized power pole behind him.
