Region G: NR drawing odds

Does anybody have an idea why the NR Special deer tag for Region G in WY had 48% drawing odds with 0 pts last year where the two previous years were 22-24% (economy, point system, etc)?

What do you think the odds will be for 2010?

Its anybody's guess what the odds will be. I'm predicting closer to 48% than 22%. We'll put in next year for the special tag with one point for the sure thing. I'd like to go again this year, but can only do so much. I should draw CO and Nev. deer allready. With some mild winters, I think G will be good in a year or two.

It really depends on the year. Sometimes when the majority of the people think that the special has better odds so they put in for special it acutally makes the special worse. so it depends on the year sometimes the regular is better, and sometimes the special is better.. Its a lottery in itself??

That is so true! I hate Wyo's stupid special system. I know more people putting in the for the special on G this year than regular. Seems like everyone I talk to about G is doing it. Probably due to the odds spike. I'm seriously considering doing regular because all I'm hearing about is special this and that! As you said... it's a gamble!
