YES......ITS BIG COUNTRY.....AVOID THE PRIVATE PROPERTY....2 OF MY BUDDYS GOT POPPED FOR & 1,780 BUCKS EACH FOR BEING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE FENCE IN 2008.............YD.

I drew the same tag Non-resident with 0 points. First time to Colorado for deer. I am excited. Put in as a group. 4 of us heading out there this year...

I have hunted 231 and 211 before. 211 has alot of deer. You should not have a hard time filling a tag.231 not as many deer but have seen some monsters there.

Yes, thanks for the information. I am looking for a buck 170 ish and 26 +. Any suggestions on where to start? This will be my first time hunting out of state (Utah) in Colorado. But if I see a good buck that I like I will take it. I am not afraid of tag soup though. I am willing to hike and scout or stay in one place the whole hunt.

Big

Based on what I've seen in your hunting units over the years I've been there, most mature bucks you'll see will not exceed 22-24. But, there are some 170" bucks around.

Thanks for the info. I am curious how does the CWD figure out the number of hunters in each unit? When you can hunt multiple units? I like the country of 131 and 231 but last year on the muzzy 0 bucks taken on each unit 131 and 231?

I found some good maps of the private property on the CWD website. I like doing the homework just that the wifey gets upset with me spending a lot of time on google earth, monstermuleys and CWD websites. I will have to get her out of the house and maybe plan a road trip with the whole fam damily and drive the area.

Bigmuleyboy,
If its not too much trouble, could you send me the link to the maps of private ground on the CWD website. I can't find it. I have the same tag and will mainly be focusing on Unit 22.
