anyone been there in the last few years? I've got some general info and some maps. I plan on hunting the whole season. My sights will be set pretty high. I may have been the guy with the most points. 16 this year. I am tired of being one behind 21. No worries anymore. Come November well see of I made the right decision. My buddy tried for 61 4th but didn't draw.

61 2nd season was a huge disapointment last year. I saw one buck in the 165 range. Of course the weather was against me, it was 75 degrees. If you have good weather (snow, wet, etc) then Atkinson Mesa should be OK, the only deer sign on Atkinson last year was dried up deer turds from the year before. Something that will help you is that the season dates are one week later this year. Weather is the equalizer.
