LAST EDITED ON Jun-23-10 AT 01:28AM (MST)[p]Went ahead and burned my points on the beulah. I plan to go down and scout the unit in August. And I also plan on being there 3 days before the season for some more scouting. I have never been in the unit but have been talking to a guy that has. He said to stay away from Cottonwood and Juniper Mountains, because they get hunted really hard. He gave me some other places to go and look at. Does anyone else have some places that I should go check out and some places that I should stay away from? I would like to hunt where there isn't a lot of roads so I can get away from people. I have some maps ordered and on the way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I am also interested in a treespass fee hunt if anyone has any information on so private land hunting send me a message.

I have hunted Beulah twice and will never go back. Saw several bucks but there are too many hunters in this unit. And the worst part of this unit is I never saw so many slob hunters in my life......a lot of them treated the forest like their personal garbage can. Cans, bottles, candy wrappers, chip bags all over the place. I picked up as much of their trash as I could but couldn't keep up with them. Never saw anything like this in any other area I have hunted in 9 other states.

Hunted west Beulah for about twenty years, it can be good or I should say it once was. Too many hunters on quads and atvs running the animals around and down onto private ranches. The numbers of nice bucks are going to be on those ranches once the opening bell sounds.
And since the price for non residents has doubled, I won't be hunting there any more. But, where I targeted most was wilderness away from any access roads or big trails, where the atvs were not supposed to be.
