This has got to be the longest week of the year. I cant sleep and I have the phone # to my cabelas visa memorized. I am feeling the luck though. They drew on the 30th so we should be getting hits this week, anybody have them yet.

How funny.Between putting in for elk in Utah and big game in Nev.,I know the 1-800 # and my credit card number by heart. Is that pathetic?Anyway,I know what you mean about the wait.It is tuff. But hey,we are getting really close though.Any time from now thru Sat. I am guessing we should be hit.Someone on one of the other forums said his friend got hit last Friday.Been kind of quiet today though.Things should start heating up soon.I have already been out scouting, but am getting really anxious to see what tags I'll draw so I can get more into it.Good luck.

I'm glad to see I'm not alone. I talked to a lady today from Wildlife Services. She said the tags were printed out over the weekend and that cards would start being charged as early as today. I am now camped out in the computer room. My wife sleeps better with me in there:) Anyways, good luck and I hope everyone draws the tag they want.

I am the same way. I checked my card probably 6 times today. Mondays are always long but this monday was even longer. A guy I work with said he heard tomorrow is the day. It's going to be a long night.

Ryan

I just checked my credit card. Nothing yet. Hopefully, one of us Southern Nevada guys will pull a tag near one of you guys. Brian has 12 points for sheep. Steve has the same number for sheep as well. I feel it in my bones that it is going to be a great draw. Let me know how you do.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-05-07 AT 09:12AM (MST)[p]Most major banks don't make their charges posted to an account till after 3PM when banks close.

Brian

Oh thanks Brian, you killjoy. Here we are hitting refresh every two minutes and you tell us not to expect it until after 3.

Actually I am trying hard not to obsess over it as much this year. Yeah right. I hope to see some of you guys say you got a hit so I know when to resume obsessing. :) I just don't want to see all those $10 PIW hits, the kiss of death.

Don't let the PIW charge fool you. Last year I had a PIW hit and the next day they pulled in and replaced it with a 30 dollar deer tag charge.

Guys

My buddy (Brian Patterson) has a Cabelas visa card. He called them this afternoon to check on his account. Nothing on his account yet. But the operator said that several other card holders had been hit with charges from Nevada. It is starting. Everyone cross your fingers.....

NV Bighorn,
No PIW tag last year, that is what I thought it was but come to find out it was a regular archery deer tag.

Got a hit on my card this afternoon for $30, so I am figuring I got myself another archery deer tag! Hopefully the hits keep coming and I can have one for $120, cuz that will mean I will be sheep hunting, guess I can dream big anyways. Good luck to all!

glad you scored. I dont think any of us nonres geeks have had any hits yet from what I have seen. Hope you get your ram tag too.

My son and I got the Non-resident PIW charge of $10 today. I think that is the kiss of death, but I hope not.

I'm with you BigFin. Got hit for two resident PIW charges this afternoon. I still have one more shot at a tag! Good luck to everybody!

It's kind of like Christmas. You wait and wait and it bugs hell out of you and then it's over. Like so many things in life, the anticipation is half the fun .

Nothing for me either. I elected the PIW option, so I am hoping for something since I have no PIW charge. The guys in this thread that have had their cards hit, are you guys residents or non residents? I am in Vegas.

I plan to check my credit card again around 11:00 tonight. Keep you posted....

I'm from vegas also. I checked with all my friends and family and none of them have seen any action on their cards either. I guess no news is good news if you put in for the PIW hunts .Generally if you see a 10$ hit thats it for that particular application.

I agree. No hit on a piw is a good thing at this point. None of my friends from Vegas has had a credit card hit either. This is driving me crazy......ugh.

Well I just checked my credit card. A 10.00 PIW charge just showed up. So no deer for me this fall. I don't know if I still have a shot at Rocky Sheep and Antelope.

Got a $10.00 PENDING CHARGE on my CC account, looks like no deer for me this year so just have to wait and see if I can draw a Lope tag, highly unlikely but can wish.
Oh well, still going to CO for Deer and in a couple of more weeks will see what happens here in CA, applied for Sheep, Elk, Antelope & Deer.

Brian

I got the three PIW charges that I put in for. Still some hope on the others. I still have yet to hear of anyone with a $100 charge.

I got hit for 4 of those $10 PIW's not looking good. Still hoping for a $30 hit for deer...........is it possible to NOT draw a deer tag with 8 points!!!!!!!! There are very very few residents with more points than that.

Did hear a friend from Reno has a $120 charge pending he only put in for rocky and desert so if its true he is hunting sheep this fall. Im sure he will let me tag along.

Dont sweat too much just yet Ryan, last year I was one of the last to find out about my elk tag. Still have several other states to find out. WY, ME, MT, AZ etc. good luck all

Well I got hit for my two PIW's. My only hope is a deer tag now, or someone I draws a sheep tag. I guess it is better this way since in a couple weeks I'll be having my first baby.

i got a hit for nr lope , all of the hunts i put in for were north east, near elko , yes im happy

FINALLY today I got confirmation that besides the 4 $10 PIW charges I have a $30 charge! Only took 9 years to draw another resident deer tag...........all you non-residents stop your whining. One tag in my pocket this year, hoping for one or two more as a non-resident. Good luck all.

Brian,
Congrats on the deer tag, I'm guessing you put in for the same area that Clay hunted last year?
Course your always welcome in my hunt camp, have to wait and see if it's Rocky or Desert, or the credit card company is playing cruel jokes. ;-)
Looks like I also got the Sheldon for antelope, feast or famine.
The one year I pp just about everything in every state cause of our production schedule and I draw two great tags, have to remember that trick.
It'll be good to get out from behind the camera for once and be the one pulling the trigger.
See you at the banquet in July.

this was a good year for drawing in my family and friends. i got an archery deer in 114,115 with 0 points. i went out scouting a couple weeks ago and for some deer so im pretty optimistic about that hunt. also i got a horns shorter than the ears antelope in 114 (waiting period), and a cow elk in 222. also my dad got 131 antelope. my uncles gang got 6 tags in 251, my aunt got 231 bull elk, my buddy and his family got two muzzie tags in 241 and 2 muzzie bull elk for 22, and i know other drew also. all in all it was a good draw for the people i know and hunt with.

Happy Hunting

James, Jennifer's husband from Calvary. I thought it was you, because I was just talking to Jim Mac and he told me what you guys had. So when I read your post and saw the name I knew it was you. I did not draw but my son Patrick did. Area 16. I was trying to get some tips on where to go. Jim has hunted that area during riffle season. We are going during muzzle loader. The deer will not be where Jim goes during riffle.
Tell your dad I said hi and I sure miss him. It's been a long time since I heard a message with some depth to it.
