I was just wondering if muleys like deer cane or if it is just for whitetail

Years ago I tried it. The sheep like it, especially when they drop 2000 off them off under your tree stand a week before the bow hunt. The original stuff is not that great in the powder form, but the liquid works if you put it on a stump. The deer will destroy the stump. I liked black magic but it didn't work for very long. I doubt they have changed the formula since I used the products over 8 years ago, but hey you can get them for dirt cheap at Walmart.

C'Mere Deer works best.

We use it all the time, it works great for mule deer and elk. We have licks we put in last year that are gettitng hammered this year without refreshing it.

i have used deer cane a lot in the last 2 years and its works like a champ! i liked it a lot but i like black magic better cause its half the weight to carry in and its not messy at all. deer cane stinks very bad and black magic smells like fruit punch mix. i have liked both. and for sure get it at walmart. its only $4 compaired to $8 at cabelas. good luck. be sure to have a trophy rock there too so when that stuff is all gone they still keep coming back to the salt block. its very successful.

it is all legal for big game mineral licks food plots baiting lighted sights look it up or ask a fish cop.

I would chime in but I know someone will post the picture (I believe it's from office space) of the guys beating the dead horse. Sad deal!

if it is illegal its only illegal during the hunt. not before. you can do whatever you want to try and get the deer to have a pattern. i dont see the crime in that. i would say most people probably dont pull out their trophy rocks before the hunt either because who is going to know where those things are. they look just like a rock!!! hense the name.

It doesnt say a damn thing in the proclamation about baiting. If you can find it post it up so we can all see! You can bait in Utah its just frowned upon.

It seems to me that baiting deer used to be illegal in Utah, but I could be mistaken. Right now it is perfectly legal to do it before, during or after the season. Upland game may not be baited, and you have to register your bait for bears. Some anglers in Utah have also degenerated to the point of using bait while fishing for trout.

Doesn't stink to me, we've used it for a while and it's always smelt good. We call it powdered skittles cause of it's smell. And, all the animals in our hunting area love skittles.
