I just added some NEW Photo Tours to the site. One by Mike Jensen and one by Rod Sinclair. Neat shots those guys get.

I want to see one just like this on the bowhunt, presenting this shot at about 44 yards. What about you guys? Would you take this shot at 44 yards? How about 74? 104????

What a beautiful photo and buck. 44 yards?.....you bet. 104 & 74.......I'm still stalking in.

44 -- yes, if this is the end of the road as far as stalking. I'd like to be about 10 closer. Great angle, by the way, almost couldn't get any better.

My bow's trained in at 60, but I guess I'd pull the trigger at 44. Real nice buck. My deer luck has dried up, so I'm just looking forward to a challenging shot on any little buck this year. I'm still hopeful on finding some big dear to pursue, but if it gets close to the end of the season I'll be stalking the small ones.

Lets just start making 200 yard shots with these StickFlippers!
anything less than 100 yards is for wussies!
(Just kiddin BOHNTR,I know you do it the right way!)

I love not acting my age,
Damn I love my NASCAR race,
And Hell yes I love my Truck!

44 yes , any further then 60 and too much can go wrong with just a step or even a turn of his head can move the kill zone enough for a bad ending IMO. When I shot a compound a lot I practiced to 80 and beyond and shot well enough to hit the kill zone %90 of the time but that is a stationary target and a deer is not.

50 yards is my personal limit. I would love to see my fletching disapper into a buck like that. Good luck hunting

I would say back six inches too, and up an inch or so. That'll put that arrow right through both lungs and will come out just behind the front shoulder on the other side. A perfect shot with both a entrance and an exit wound.

50 and below for me unless its a buck like that! Then its 60, I'm very comfortable to 80 on a stationary target. Too many variables past that...

Back 4 inches and down 2 or 3 for me. Since its an upward angle I would want to enter a little lower since its going to exit higher on the other side. I have SDP by Spot Hogg with pins at 20, 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60 and I am comfortable at all those distances with my angle compensating range finder paired with it.

44 I would shoot in a hurry. 74 yds I just can't see me pulling that shot off so I would pass.

Back 2" down 2. Looks a little uphill and he could crouch at the sound of the string. 74 yards is too far.
