Hey Bluelk' I got the American knight 50 cal. with the green Mt. Barrel and I did the cotton test three time's, the barrel was clean every time no cotton left behind in the riflings.

My quetion is this' should I still do the Lap precedure to the barrel, or skip to the teflon lube precedure in the barrel.. Thanks; Manny15'

manny15: That's the value of that Green Mountain barrel! Skip to the teflon step.

What's da teflon step?

Just got the .50 DISC 26". Haven't shot it yet. Is this some kind of break in or accurizing step? Sorry, I'm pretty new to the mz world.

I've seen your posts before bluelk, you seem to be quite the guru on this stuff. Any help would be appreciated.

run a cotton ball down your barrel then look down the barrel to see if there are aany threads left hanging in the groves, if there are you need to pass your brass brush over the area in a fast vigerest motion kind of like ,,,you know. this should remove the bur. I had some plugs made from UHMW, you know the rail guide material used on snowmobiles. buff them down to 1/128 over the inside dia. and shove it thru. makes a heck of a squige.
(2) pushes thru and your clean.
