I'm new to Mule Deer hunting but have lived in NV all my life (Chukar Hunter) so I know the countryside pretty well. I was wondering if anyone has any advice for the area I'll be hunting. I've been up there and scouted a few times and have seen plenty of doe's and Antelope and a few bucks. I'm just concerned about what to expect on the first morning since I've never done this before.
I have a buck picked out, just worried that someone else might have the same idea/buck.

Thanks.

Bed him the night before, be at a vantage point before sun up, be patient, use terrain and wind to your favor, and you should do ok. Don't be too upset with other hunters because sometimes that works to your favor. Have you patterned this deer? Do you know where he beds, eats, drinks, and at what times? All these things will only increase your chances of harvesting that animal.

Thanks very much for the insight. I have not yet patterned this deer fully but I'm heading up about 5 days before the opener to do just that as well as scout some other areas I've seen bucks at. I do know exactly where he beds, eats, drinks and I'm guessing they don't stray far from there even after being spooked.
