No, I took this buck in the Southeast Region.

Wow great general season buck. I guess they're still roaming the hills out there somewhere!

He looks a little lazy in the velvet removal department (cool). I heard that OLD bucks are a little slower at getting all the crap off the antlers.

Any idea of the age class?

Congrats!

Zeke

just tell me you road hunted! I just want some hope I can find a deer like that from the road.

awesome buck by the way.

There are no big bucks in Utah! LOL

Great buck!

SW, Your new angle cracks me up...stay strong my friend!

There are not enough deer in Utah...FOR REAL.

I have some HD video footage of this buck in the velvet, he was one I was hoping to find on the muzzy hunt. Now i know why i couldn,t turn him up. How wide was he? and did you score him? Gross score....

There was way to many people looking for this buck and its brothers. Around 20 people, in the same basin there has been 2 other 4 points and a 6 point and I just heard about a 8 by 7. It was a slaughter, That is what happens in a general area when the secret gets out.

I would love to see your video. He's 27.5 wide. I haven't put a real tape to him yet to see his exact score.

Brookie,

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same deer/basin. I highly doubt there being 20 people in there chasing him. I was in there several times this year, while the opener was busy, I haven't seen that many people.

Zeke,

I'm not sure on his age. His teeth were a little worn, but he was fat, healthy, and big bodied. I would guess he's 5 or 6.

do you want me to name some of the people and the canyon. the highest point, on this mountain range, lets just say you shot in it starts with a B canyon. do you want me to name were you set up your tent, or the ridge, The head lamps you could see were coming into the M canyon next to the B canyon. In the far M canyon there were 6 four wheelers, 2 trucks and a camp, plus all the people that were on top from the skyline. In my immediate family alone including dedicated hunters, There were 8 tags that went through that basin. I saw the 2 three points and 2 point after you shot. I hope this helps. I hope I haven't given it away too. Nice buck though

hunt4bigbucks,

I scored my buck the other day, he grossed 184. His right side scored 84 inches.

Brookie,

PM sent on UWN.

I would like to see a pic of that 5 by 6 if you have one. That is the buck I had my eye set on.

Nice buck, to bad he didn't match on his small side! He would have been over 190!! All you guys need to stop whining. Yes there were lots of people, too many. but what can ya do? Ive been chasing that 5x6 for 3 years, I have him on film for 3 years in a row. Sounds like everyone knows about the bucks that we all thought we had to ourselves. Yes, i wish i killed one of them instead of the other guys but i didn;t. So congrats to the guys that killed the big ones. I know for a fact the 5x6 was killed by some guys that put in some serious amount of time, and they deserved that buck as much as anyone. I put in my time too but i was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now we all just need to keep our mouths shut and hope there will be less people next year.

Thanks man! I'm really happy with him. He was a little bigger on the ground than I thought he would be.

I agree with you completely. Hunting is hunting, there is always a bit of luck involved no matter what. It could easily have happened very differently. I hope you can still find a good one this year. (If you can hunt the rifle).

Good Luck,
WYmoose

Less people next year LOL
