Scouting Southeast Utah

We did some scouting this last weekend, hit up Skyline rd, huntington, 9 mile canyon (harmon canyon) and in both days we only saw maybe 10 deer. Covered a lot of area, and very few deer. Has anyone else had the same experience on the region?

LAST EDITED ON Oct-19-10 AT 06:39AM (MST)[p]Trophy, I think this is probably the general consensus in both Southern units. I hunt the Pahvant area and have seen very few deer. On the muzzle loader weekend a buddy and I rode horses to the top of the mountain and back and observed less then a dozen deer. The ride began at 5,000 feet up to 9,200 feet in an area that has been very productive in recent years. The numbers appear to be down. I was discouraged last season but the tale, tale signs show it may be worse this year.

Guess we'll find out in a few more days when the pressure moves some around a little.

LET ME TELL YA SE UTAH GOT HAMMERED
Last winter the winterkill was almost total, They need to shut this area down for a couple of years.
