My best friend and his son had this tag.I was lucky enough to tag along for this hunt.we hunted hard and saw some nice bucks on tuesday morning we headed up the road and saw a guy with a spotting scope on a 4 wheeler we went by him didnt think much about it.As we got a little futher up the road we seen a real nice buck my friends last day to hunt saw the buck and said hes good enough,a doe was standing in front of the buck and it wouldnt move so my buddy headed around the hill to get a better angle to shoot the buck we were about 200 yards away from the buck easy shot we got ready to shoot all of a sudden some hunters in no orange a guy and a girl stands up about 80 yards from the buck they had put a sneak on in there camo didnt even notice them it could have been really scary . now I know theres alot of talk about orange.but the law is the law and if you are teaching young people to break the law by not obeying the law my friend was sick after it happen. If we would of shot at them I dont know if he wouldever forgive himself.the girl got the buck i hope it was worth it. you dont know how close you came to getting shot enjoy the deer.

was your buddy planning on shooting 80 yards from the deer???....or at the deer??

We may never know. Some people just have no respect for punctuation. I just read the first 50 words or so and then stopped.

If a bullet misses a person by 80 yards it may as well be a mile. I think orange is overrated when it comes to safety. How many shooting deaths do we have each year in Idaho, Nevada, Arizona? Those are all states that don't require orange. That being said, the law is the law, and if UT says you should wear orange then people ought to follow the law. And, it sounds like it would have saved you guys some time and kept you from getting your hopes up.

All wearing orange does is increase the number of times in your life that you will have loaded big-game rifles pointed in your direction. If you they want to increase safety then they should make it a legal requirement for anyone hunting to carry binos. Think about it.

Hey Big three...Did your buddy end up getting one? I have been wondering how Vernon was this year for rifle hunters??

Yeah, did he get one...???

Also, I understand the frustration about the other hunters... Nothing worse than following the rules only to have someone breaking them win out over you...

"Therefore, wo be unto him that is at ease in Zion!" 2 Ne. 28: 24

D13 have you ever been buzzed by a bullet before? because i have and its one of the most terrifing things ive ever expericed.plus its the law i dont care what the reason for not having it on you better have it on. when you touch that gun off you never really no where that bullet's going, he could jerk, flinch what ever. the last thing you want is someone's life taken away because of neglegence. as for you guys that are actually interseted in the hunt.
my Uncle ended up taking a two point on tuesday his last day. my cousin took a big 3 point on wensday evening, tough hunt this year, but they missed two whoppers so they cant complain to much

something scarier than having a bullet flying over my head (which happened quite alot as a kid hunting on monte) is having a shoe hit me in the face thrown by my mother. thats scary!

My bad, my commas and periods were not used in the right spots. Next time Ill know Im being graded.[LoL]
