Here's one my 71 year old father took after 11 years of putting in. We received a cell phone call mid-day during the second day letting us know there had been a family emergency and that we needed to head home. A decision was made to make a last minute effort to find a buck. We put my father on point and a good friend and I pushed a hillside covered in thick oak brush. We pushed out a large two point, and nice three point and this four point accompanied by a doe. He and the doe stopped 207 yards away and my father dumped him with one shot from his Remington 721 .30-06. He was shooting a 168 grain Berger Hunting VLD bullet. We quickly cleaned the buck up and headed for home. The buck is a 25" wide 4x4 and my father is perfectly fine with it. The family member involved in the family emergency will be fine, eventually.
