This is my first time posting pictures. Hope it works. This is the finished product of my 2009 strip deer hunt. I knew it would be my tag of a life time so I went guided for all the right reasons. I hunted with Marvin James Guide Service. Couldn't have had a better time with great guides. I hunted 10 days to take my best deer to date. 32 1/2 4 by 5.

Here is a field photo. I'll give a brief story about the hunt. We hunted hard for all 10 days. If I could say I passed on a lot of big bucks I would be telling a lie. We saw 1 buck on the second day that would have gone about 29 wide 5 by 6 that was about 196. That was a day 5 buck. We went a couple of days not seeing a deer. Total deer seen was around 25. You either love the strip or hate it. It was everything I thought it would be. I killed my buck on the last morning of the season. I had a long drive home ahead of me so I only had until noon to hunt. it was hard to believe that I had a tag of a lifetime and I was going home with tag soup!! My guide Stan and Marvin never gave up hope. We found a couple of groups of does early in the morning but no bucks were with them. We finally came around a corner and there was another group of does this time with a buck with them. Stan and Steve said we need to kill this buck. The deer were around 350 yards out. Perfect set up and rest on a tri pod. A couple of shots later and the buck was down. It was hard to believe that I had finally killed a strip buck!! We walked up to him and it was a buck of a lifetime for me. He had great mass 38 inches. 29 and 28 in main beams. 32 1/2 outside and 29 inside. Very weak on the forks. He was a old buck on the downhill. Gross score was 188. Hope you enjoy my story.
