But until the Fed's let that happen, lets all spend a little less time typing about how to save the deer herds and kill a coyote or two.

We all have time off with all the Holidays over the next month, lets each kill some dogs.

That would really help the deer herd.

Your headline caught my attention. I agree we need to do
more to reduce the number of predators. I don't see the
use of poison ever returning as a means to control their
numbers. Besides, what greater high that to take out a
yote or two from long distance.

anything that worked or had an effect on predators back then had pretty much been outlawed... growing up there were several cyanide guns around my granpa's place and you hardly seen a coyote, now you have a resident herd of deer every summer, i would say 15-20 head...there are bucks with the doe's every fall, when june comes you will see pretty much every deer hanging around the place with a fawn or too, when hay season starts, around first of july, we find deer legs after deer legs in the hay fields...when hunting season rolls around you see 1-2 fawns per 10 doe's....coyotes raise hell with the deer population around here in the hay fields, which the deer are some what protected, i can't imagine how much worst it is on the mountain....hire a couple more governemnt trappers per each region, them boys can raise hell with coyotes if given what the need to level the playing field with mr. wiley coyoteee....

I defintely get out after season and do my part for two months. In the last two years, some buddies and I have put around 50 yote dogs on the ground. It's fun as hell, plus it helps out the quail, rabbits, pheasant and fawns survive.

Smashed two yip dogs wednesday. Made 3 sets called in three dogs killed two and wised one up. Ill get down on my sights better next time.

Last time I was in Texas I saw quite a few cyanide guns.
