I know nothing about it, other than it came out of Alberta, Canada. Rumors have it at 230 ( unconfirmed yet).

Either way a huge typical monster muley, that likely forsure will net in the 200's and most likey beat out the current Alberta record of 206.

Congrats to the lucky hunter !! Hopefully someone can share some more light on the situation.

i could be wrong but 206 shouldn't come close to a world record should it

If I'm not mistaken, Doug Burris's buck is still listed as Boone and Crocket's #1 all-time deer. That buck was officially measured and entered with a score of 225 6/8- NET.

Now, if you want to talk about SCI #1, who knows? They seem to find a way for more and more #1 animals all the time. I may be in the minority, but could care less what it's SCI rank may be.

Holy crap

The Burris buck is the record, so 206 doesn't even come close. That buck looks like all of 206, if it's real you can't tell anymore. mass is just ok, but wow.

SCI is coming up with more records because the game farms are breeding and selling bigger amimals evey year to that type of hunter. I use the term hunter loosely.

That buck has some serious tine length and beam length Should score high as hell
Your probably right tho ??? Anyone who shot a stud of this magnitude would have a 100 gig memory card full of pics of this bad boy with the cape on

LAST EDITED ON Nov-26-10 AT 09:01PM (MST)[p]Rumoured to be 230 not 206. He said the current Alberta record is 206. I have also heard it was a Saskatchewan buck and over 200 but not big enough to break the world record.

Though a monster that's larger than anything I'll most likely ever see in my life, that buck doesn't have the mainbeam or inside spread credit to come close to bumping the Burris Buck.
It is a toad of a buck though, the Burris is simply a freak of nature.

World record or Not, That is still a serious set of horns.

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

That is an incredible buck, but will not exceed the Burris buck, and I don't think it'll even come very close. Not enough inside spread, main beam length or mass. G2s and G3s are great, but 60% of the score comes from the front half of a rack typically, not the back half.

I've never been one to question the legitimacy of a set of antlers, and often find those who do to be annoying. But this time, I'll ask the questions. Why are the antlers so much darker and heavier between the skull and his hands, than above his hands? If it's a real buck, and I hope it is, then congrats to the hunter. However, that looks like a poor photoshop job, not even a good one with the color difference.

Are there any field photos that can be shown?
