Now that the entry period for the Sportsmans tags are over, I was curious how many of you would shoot this buck with the Sportsmans deer tag?

FYI. This buck put on 3-5 inches in width and added about 25 inches in score from last year. Imagine what he'd look like if he did that again this next year.

Ya, I'd shoot him if given the chance. Deer of that caliber are rare, even if you get to hunt the Henry's. I'd shoot him......I think.....pertty sure.....unless I knew of a bigger one.

Unless I had SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE of another better buck on the same tag area I would shoot him.

Too much can happen and often does to count on second hand knowledge of a deer somewhere else that you SHOULD shoot instead of the one in front of you to pass something like that.IMO

Not on AI- I've seen bigger, freakier bucks than that out there... I'm not partial to wide non-typicals. If I had a Sportsman's Tag I'd want the biggest typical I could find, around 33" and scoring 200+ inches... That's just me though...

Well he is a nice deer but he looks young nice width and a lil bit of trash on a good frame lacking mass. But if I seen him now with my hunt coming to a end I would take him. Nice pics yelum!!

Thanks Utehunter, Yes, he is young. Last year we figured he was 3 1/2 as a 10x10 plus eyeguards. He lost a few points but but gained some length and width.
