I jump on here fairly often and I personally am getting sick of the ongoing soap opera. I just read and make my own opinions because I dont personally know anyone on here. It is very rare for me to post anything. Some people will argue simply because of who makes the post. I live and hunt in the southern region and I know it will make it harder for me to draw a desired tag. I have hunted in Nevada, California, Washington, Idaho, Colorado, Arizona and Utah. I am a firm believer that 29 units will eventually become a great thing for utah's deer herd. My wife and my father have both stopped hunting because of the rat race southern utah has become. They are both tired of seeing more people than deer. Some units will be easy to draw and if a family wants to go out and spend time outdoors and have a lousy hunt I believe those tags will be available for them in less desirable units(not to mention over the counter elk tags). Just like politics the arguments on here will never end and certain people will argue over trees falling and chickens and eggs, but I think if you really sit back and think about it managing each herd for what it is will only benefit everyone who hunts. Like it or not lets except it, join together as sportsmen and make sure future generations have the oportunity to harvest deer not just go on a glorified camping trip with a gun and blaze orange.
