I've been working on photos to add to the site and have some here that Chad Smith sent of three giants from the strip. I also got an email from another outfitter with three giants from teh strip. Plus, I've heard rumors that they killed a bunch more 200+ bucks off the strip and the near term future might not look as good......

And I almost forgot that email floating around of the pictures of the bucks that F&G officers photographed while checking.

Can you believe one place can produce so many giants? Did they really kill a big chunk of the best bucks this year? I thought the Henry Mtns. was a better spot than the strip, but maybe not.......???????????????

I think the strip has a better top end (220+) potential than the Henrys. However, I also think that just about anyone that puts some effort and time into it can kill a dang good (190-200 class) buck on the Henrys. You can find 180 class deer on the Henry's almost any day. A guy could go for several days on the strip and not even see a deer. If I drew a strip tag I would freak out with joy and then panic would set in...

There is no such thing as a sure thing in trophy mule deer hunting.

I would personally, given the choice, take a Strip archery tag over a Henries rifle tag EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK...The Strip is some of the most awesome country I've ever stepped foot on and the history of that place is nothing short of 240+"ers!!

There's only one place on earth they break 300...

One day one day :)

Just to clear the air. There was never a game and fish check station. The game and fish had a flat tire and everyone was stopping to see each others monster bucks. The game and fish asked if they could take pic's for them selfs. They were told yes they could use them for ther personal use only and now they are everywhere. The big wide heavy buck is my dads and it is a pending new AZ state record typical and it will go way up in the world record book. We will know for sure in January after the 60 day drying period.

Is there a mag or a video documenting the hunts of any of these deer...?? I'd love to see them...

What a great year. Well, I guess that depends on how you look at it... Some of these bucks will be on future muley crazy dvd's, and most, if not all of them, will be in their magazine. The biggest was 255 ish with a 224" frame, over 40" wide. There is a pic on their website in the forum if you want to check it out.

Here's three of the strip giants that Chad Smith, of Vaquero Outfitters, shared with us. He produces some huge stuff every year. Sure do appreciate him sharing the photos. It's fun to see them. From top to bottom is Bob, Chuck, and Colt.

There is also another photo page in our Contest Gallery that shows off 3 more huge strip bucks. Take a look at our Contest Gallery.

My dads buck will be out real soon on the cover of a major magazine. When it comes out we will post where it can be seen on this web site.

you mean possabily the highest gross scoring buck killed on the strip this year. We will all know in 60 days what buck is the offical highest scoring typical buck to come from the AZ strip. Riches buck is still one of the greatest bucks killed in 2010. attached is a pic of the biggest buck killed on the az strip in 2010.
