How big is this wide buck? Score him.

I found this buck this morning. I have video of him last year as well. He is probably 2-3 inches wider this year and his G3's are a lot bigger, he is heavier as well. He was a 4x4 last year and now a 3x4. I know he wouldn't score really good because of this but what would you guess his gross score is? Sorry for the poor pics.

Great buck! Not many places I would be able to pass him. I'd put him high 160s to low 170s since he is a 3x4.

Sold for 200 points! He is a beautiful buck, but I think that 3 point side will really hurt the numbers, if that is what you are after. I sure wouldn't let him walk on our general hunts.

I shot a buck almost identical to him 3 years ago (wasn't missing a G3). I would say that he is close to 32" wide and with a matching G3 he would be around 190", without out it now I would put him around 180-185.

Marley, that was about what I was thinking. Also, it was supposed to read that the G4s are a lot bigger this year, not the G3s.

Hell, I wouldn't pass him. He's a good mature buck. I'd put him at about 180.

31"-32" wide IMO and about 180" great deer for any tag aside from a Henry's or The Strip or similar and I would consider him in the late days on those hunts.

Like said above if you care about net score you should pass him but if you want a nice wall hanger you better bust him!

My trigger finger doesn't know how to score...see him during hunting season..he's dead...

I would think he is in the low 170 category but I would put my lunch on it that he goes 33 inches wide.

Sit tall in the saddle, hold your head up high, keep your eyes fixed to where the trail meets the sky...

I thought we shoot 3x4's because they aren't 4x4's.....but this one was last year??.....I am always curious how to identify a buck as one from last year, especially when their antlers are so different from the previous year??????

Ya, if I was looking for score I would pass too, but who cares about score. This guy has a huge frame. I wouldn't think twice about knocking him down.

Well, I figured it was him since he was 200 yards from where I saw him last year and comparing my video from last year his overall shape is the same just smaller. The only real difference in the loss of a 4th point, which he broke last year. He also had small brow tines that came out close to the burr just like this year. I guess it could be a different deer but I understand deer like to keep to the same areas, so I doubt a new buck this similar to him would appear and he dissappear, but who knows.
