LAST EDITED ON Dec-11-10 AT 03:20PM (MST)[p]Remember the awesome looking double main beamed buck
famously photographed around Colorado Springs last summer?
Well, there are pics of this buck without velvet and the amount
of bone on this buck is ridiculous. If you thought the velvet
pics where extraordinary, wait until you see this buck now!!
You can see "Goliath" as he has been called by the residents of
Colorado Springs on fieldandstream.com. The article is titled
"Goliath is Back". Enjoy.

That buck don't look very healthy to me. Hope he makes it thru the winter so's we can see what he does next year!

Thanks for posting Kilo!!

Pretty impressive pics. I like Elvis better than Goliath. There is already a famous Goliath.

He is looking a little rough. Post-rut picture? If not, he may have a hard time making it through a bad winter. And it looks like we are going to have one...

LAST EDITED ON Dec-13-10 AT 01:47PM (MST)[p] I agree he looks a little sick or something... Could be he's sick of carryin around those antlers...

I don't think he's a 300" buck, even with the dropper that is now gone... but he's going to go very big... If he's ever harvested... Guess we'll see next year. I hope an archer gets him... For $200,000. Oh wait- it's not Utah... That won't happen.

Sorry they name him after another great buck with the same name but in a different state. So his name should be GOLIATH II

I'll take the CO Goliath buck over the WY Goliath anyday anytime. How about you?

CO is bigger BUT he wasn't the first to have the name is all I'm saying. Still is looking for the offspring of Lumberhead and Goliath would love to run into a buck from either one of them.

Sit tall in the saddle, hold your head up high, keep your eyes fixed to where the trail meets the sky...

Does anyone remember the original GOLIATH the one David Long has on video shedding his antlers and has pictures of the lucky hunter that harvested him when he was like 11-12 years old,

Nope, but he might be from the same puddle.Your deer has a notch in his ear and if you click on the link above there are 28 pics in the link and all show his ear is not notched now and so would not have been notched 5 years ago. Very similar antler config. though.

yea no ear notch on GOLIATH II. thought someone said awhile back that he was sterile so his bone just kept growing and growing never being shed. obviously he lost his velvet and is going to shed this year. makes me think he is just that much better of a buck if he was just not such a city buck he would make one great wallhanger

Lot of bone on top of his head, BUT, in my opinion he is UGLY! I would much rather have a big typical framed buck with a few cheaters here and there any day. This deer doesn't hold a candle to the Burris Buck. Burris is by far my all time favorite deer. I still dont think I would pass on this guy though ;)
