Monster Muley website upgrade feedback

Isn't it about time for a website upgrade? This website is more like a dinosaur compared to other websites. Other sites are organized better as far as quoting someone and reading messages. The email inbox also needs an overhaul also.

I don't mean this in a bad way so please don't take my comments harsh.

One other thing, on most web sites you can hover your mouse over the topic and it will pop up with the content of the first post. I like this as you can scan through the posts much faster

Yes it is a bit archaic and dated but it costs money to maintain and/or upgrade to be able to some of the things other sites can do. If it was free to do these things I think Founder would have done them by now. Its very functional the way it is.

I am a geek by profession, there are TONS of other forum/posting options out there, but for what Founder is doing, I like this one.
Great job founder, don't change.

Not a damn thing wrong with this site. Leave all the fancy bells and whistles outta here.
I think the founder does a great job and i like it here. Not rippin on ya for the post but its just simple here.

I think we need to break it up into 29 forum sections, reduce the number of members by 13000 individuals, make you choose a forum to comment on, and can't own an ATV and make comments!

It's on my list to update the site some, but I'm not sure about the forums. I guess I'd have to look at the options that are out there in my price range....if any. There are some forum software packages that can be purchased, but some of the best that I have seen are owned by companies who have dozens of programmers on staff (plus lots of money) and build and modify their own. You would think that a western hunting website should easily have comparable revenue to google, youtube, or ebay, but believe it or not, it doesn't. LOL Maybe I'm just a crappy businessman. That's quite possible.

Really though, I don't think MonsterMuleys.com will ever be programming our own forum system, but if I found a forum program that was affordable and that I thought everyone would like, I might do it. This still works pretty good though for being real old.

Considering how busy this place is and how long it's been successful I think Brian knows what he's doin.

I agree that a good freshen up of the decor would be nice, and I'd lke a view counter on posts so we can see how many guys are truely checkng posts out. Infact I think that would drive more people back to the sight to check that out.

But overall Brians Monstermuleys is the site by which all other western hunting sites are judged.

Good work. It's something you shuld be very proud of!

I like the site the way it is.
I don't have to upgrade/ replace browsers, plugins every week.
or get a new Os/ram/video etc. just to keep up with the latest
'lets try this ' by some bored programmer.
The site works.
Thanks Brian

Those kind of comments are the main reason I check this multiple times a day. Some of you guys ought to go pro with Jeff Foxworthy.

I can't stand other forums with giant avatars, dancing emoticons, and WAY TOO MUCH info thrown at you regarding everything about the thread. It takes 5 minutes to find the comments in all the junk. KEEP MM OLD SCHOOL PLEASE.

One of the reasons I like this site so much is because of how it is laid out. Not cluttered easy to navigate. Keep up the good work Founder!!

I like how easy everything is here. I don't have to get a photobucket account and all tha BS just to post a pic. Posting pics on MM is the best.

If you go changing things around with all the new fangled stuff you'll end up confusing the already confused older crowd!

ME!

I like it totally the way it is. Heck I still don't know how to post pics. I had to email them to Brian last year and have him do it for my daughter's desert ram!
