Ok boys and girls. Lets see what all the hype is about. Post up any pictures of Antelope Island deer and deer shed pics that you might have. Lets see if anyone has any pictures of a buck worth $265,000

LAST EDITED ON Feb-08-11 AT 10:11PM (MST)[p]I don't have many AI pics, but here are a couple bucks. The really far away buck was a beast. Sheds scored 220+, giant hook cheater on his left side. A $265 K beast? Probably not, but he was large.

There is no such thing as a sure thing in trophy mule deer hunting.

Daxter, at 97 inches, that left side is the largest typical 4 point shed I have ever seen. A georgous set too say the least.

I don't think anybody has got pics of the 265k buck alive, but if he's still alive, this would be him. The NT dleonard4 posted is a possible if he comes back better. The west side has bucks nobody gets pictures of without a $160 horse ride, So I doubt we'll see pics of the bucks killed.

As for my opinion....there ain't any buck worth $265,00.00....but if somebody wants to pay me that kind of money for my heads and sheds....COME ON DOWN!

That much money for a deer is crazy, But I'm glad that Utah and AI can bring that much to the state. How would everyone feel if the tag only went for $5000.00-We would all be saying it should have went for a lot more. The guy that can spend that much has a different meaning of money than most of us.
I hope the hunter gets a big one and maybe next year it will bring even more money.

may be we should ask that horse renter where all the big sheds went 5 to 10 years ago when nobody wAS permitted to pick them up /// ???

LAST EDITED ON Feb-09-11 AT 04:51PM (MST)[p]They were still on the ground when they had the first hunt and a few lucky guys loaded up. You got to remember there are only about 50 mature bucks on 24,000 acres. Thats only 100 big horns a year. And hikers and horse riders have been picking em up and sneakin em off year round.
