I'm not interested in doing this myself, just curious. I've heard some chatter here about guys buying LE tags. Are these auction tags or something? Or is there a way you can buy landowner tags in LE units? If so can they be used on public land too? I thought LE tags had to be drawn, but I'm now coming to realize that I may be mistaken.

-Buy them at an auction. In Utah there are about 1200 tags auctioned for LE units
-Buy Landowner Permit, for LE Units, at least another 1200 available.
-Buy a CWMU tag for areas bordering LE units, or other CWMU are close in quality to LE units.

Every Western state has different ways to buy LE tags.Unfortunately Some more then others
Here in Utah they action off LE tags or you can buy a CWMU tag from the land owner
The LE tags can be used on any public or private land inside the unit your tags is for.
The CWMU tag is a chunk of private property made up by at least 8000 acres of land.It is its own unit and you can only hunt on the private property.These units are scattered throe out the state and reside in both LE units and General units
