To be honest with ya, I never really even paid attention to his width when I was lookin' at him. It's tuff to get a good look at bucks that are feedin in aspen types. You only get pieces as they move through the trees and brush. I caught glimpses of that particular buck as he worked his way out of a draw and then bedded on a ridge. I was more focused on forks than width. He bedded with one side completely hidden and didn't move again till dark. Never saw him again after that. This is pretty common though as they spend most of their time in the mature conifer stands which are impossible to glass into. These pics are taken from a 1000+ yards on opposite sides of the valley. I use a teleconverter on the camera and then crop them up.
