Got my bookcliffs buck back last night. Pictures dont do the buck or taxidermy justice but I wanted to post some pics of him. Nice to finally have one on the wall.

Thanks I think he turned out great.

I actually broke the skull plate when I shot him. Thats what happens when you put a rifle in a bowhunters hands. He was missing the g4 on his right side and I had the taxidermist fix it.

Nice buck meatpot!

I have my eye on a buck like that in the next year or two (when I draw a good tag)

Congratulations on a good looking trophy and a great mount!

Zeke

BTW: I think bowhunters make great rifle hunters too!

I Like the front look on that nice buck.

Thanks everybody.

I was questioning the sneak pose but everything about it reminds me of the hunt.

The taxidermist was Ryan Cook in Uintah. He did a great job!

I have a picture and video of your buck alive during the muzz hunt. I saw him after I had already punched my tag on a smaller buck or he would have been in trouble.

I would really like to know exactly where you ended up shooting it. I am curious as to how far it migrated. If you don't mind send me a pm and let me know where. Also, I can email you the pic and video if you want.

There is no such thing as a sure thing in trophy mule deer hunting.

DAX-

That's pretty cool of you to offer that picture/video up to OP. Nice picture.

That live shot of him is so cool with the skyline and background that I would think seriously of having that in a picture frame near the mount itself.

Cool thread- having someone else recognize the buck, and have a photo is pretty sweet...!!! Whereabouts did you harvest him..?? If you wanna PM that'd be great. My dad drew the rifle tag this year...

great to be able to get live pics. That happened to me after I arrowed an elk in AZ. A great guy I had met during the hunt had super photos of him in velvet a short while before he rubbed off. A great additional trophy to have.

Dax,

Very cool pic of my buck. I would really like to get the pic, video and the location. I will pm you on his whereabouts when I took him and my email.

Thanks in advance
