Nevada app deadline today

I did deer last night and put in for points today for some other species that I can not afford to draw this year...

I procrastinated until last night because I knew it was going to cost me $229 just to apply for some tags I probably won't draw.

chancho sucio.

I had been too, up until a few days ago. Maybe us procrastinators wont have to pay the lic fee next year. Then again, im never that lucky. Good luck in the draws.

I didn't apply this year. I drew deer and speed goats last year. I have 10 elk points. Not worth $1,200 for a non res tag, 150.00 for a license, and maybe a few more years to draw a good tag. I stll have points in 5 other states. Wondering what some thoughts are on if I put in next year drawing a hunt that had a reasonable chance of seeing a 350 class bull?
Thanks for any thoughts, or advise.

So who plunked down coin (or got swindled out of) for the Silver State tag lottery? Set me back another 58 clams.

It's only money.............

Never drawn a tough odds license (or won the lottery) in my life, so I must be due.

Good luck.

Should get a free meal ticket at Star Hotel for the money shelled out this year...LOL

i have to argue with you on the not worth the 1200. i hunted nevada elk in 09, well worth it. maybe they should give me another tag so i can be sure. i cant apply till 2020

I only plopped down cash on the Silver State deer tag. I figure I don't need extra time on the lopes. I couldn't afford elk after I put in all species as a NR.

If I am lucky enough to draw (doubt it), I will make a Vegas vacation out of it for my wife while I head north to blast a monster off the winter range.

Deerlove and mdbrown,
Thanks for your encouragement. It maybe worth it. I love to hunt elk. I put in for hunts in 5-6 states. I have shot a couple good bulls. Just need to know where to put my money. I have a 12 and 17 yr old boys. When they can draw tags in WY,AZ,CO, and our resident state UT, just got to thinking that putting 2k into a NV elk tag may not be worth it. Maybe I should just draw elk and then quit on NV. I guess I'm just getting older. I would rather see my boys shoot a nice elk, deer , and lope, more frequently.

I am getting to be the same way Greg. Once I cash in some of my out of state points, I'll probably quit applying to most of them.

I just bought the point for elkand antelope. I applied for the rest..... Pretty hard to justify shooting a stinking antelope when I could just go to Wyoming lol...

I sent my 220 bucks in. I got lucky and drew a nice deer tag last year so maybe NV will be good to me again. Loved it out there!
