Pretty good buck for such a young guy! I'd go with Joey and say he's mid 170's. Cool little cheater he's got on his right side.

With the mass and the cheater, definitely- 175"

Great deer..!!

I would have to think 175 would be a minimum. I killed this buck last year(which is very similar) and it grossed out at 163, yours has more mass a kicker and better back forks.

That buck is sweet. Just cool. Put up some more pictures if you have them.

I don't know about score, sweet no matter what the score.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-28-11 AT 02:50PM (MST)[p]leicabucks---That is a great looking buck and if that was his score I will stick with my guess because yours looks to have much better beam length and that is where I think his will lose a lot of inches next to yours-just MO! Those front forks on yours are really great and are similar to the best one I have taken, but mine was really lacking in beam length and didn't make it into the 160s if I scored him correctly.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-28-11 AT 04:30PM (MST)[p]Gun, I would have to respectfully disagree with you on this one. Hubba's buck is better. Hubba, looks like this buck is 27 wide?

Sorry, those are the only pictures I have of him right now. I'm at college and the other pictures are at home lol...

And I scored him quite a while ago and I'm not 100% positive but I don't believe he was over 165... He looks like he should be bigger than that, but he wasn't.

And ya I think he is 27" wide. He would only be about 26", but that cheater gives him an extra inch or so...

I think he's about the same exact size as leicabucks... they're both in the low 160's and they're pretty sweet looking bucks if you ask me lol...

They are both very nice bucks and anybody should be proud to put them on the wall. The unit I hunt in Wyoming just doesn't seem to have the genetics that produce much better than ones like you guys took. This is the best one I've taken that I mentioned in the earlier post that had great front forks, but his inside width barely broke 20" and his beam lengths, as you can see, were very short and he lost a lot on score because of that. Regardless, he's about the best I've seen out there over the years and I can keep watching him forever, LOL!!!

Agree JB148! That's a very nice buck and if he had mass to go with the other measurements his score would have gone up pretty good. However, that's the exact reason I have only taped that one mulie and one antelope of all the animals I've taken. Who cares but me and I have to say that I'm happy on every animal I squeeze the trigger on or the gun would not go bang!!!

i think you should score it again i'd say its in the low 170s personally regardless tis a great buck

Alright. Well once college is done with in the next month or so I'll measure it when I get home...

I would be very surprised if that buck didn't score over 170 gross. By the pictures and 26 inch spred. The main beams, length of tines, mass, good G-1's, little extr on the right, etc. I would guess around 175 gross. Score is over rated. Congrats on a great buck.
