These are a couple of trophy bucks from Calif. back in the day.
 
what do you figure that front buck goes? Gotta be 300 right? Any more to the story?

Those browtines are ridiculous!!

The "Burney Buck", is a blacktail/muley cross.
Hunter: Artie McGram
Date Killed: October 4, 1987
Location: California's Zone D2b
Deer: Field dressed 175 pounds
Rack: 19 points on the right and 17 on the left
B&C Score: 308 Non-typical Mule Deer
Notes:
McGram won a 1987 Blazer in the Big Buck contest from Winners Casino in Winnemucca, Nevada. The mounted deer head proudly hangs at his mother's restaurant, BJ's, in Burney, California. McGram is an avid photographer and has taken over 7,000 deer photographs with his 400mm Nikon lens mounted on a rifle stock.

Field photo? Hmmmm, I've seen that look on a buck's face before - right after it was pulled out of the freezer for about 9 months.
