Score Contest #26 (Penalty)

okay, some of you may have noticed on the last few contest I have been having you list your scores and then combine to get a total. I have had a few people send me some messages about adding a penalty if you guess too high or don't get within a 5 points etc.... All great ideas so we are going to add a penalty for the last 4 contest. The scores you list before your total will now mean something!!!


So to make this first one easy (because the next few will be tough trust me) I am only posting 2 bucks. You will need to do the same as the last few where you list your first two scores and then the total. The penalty will be enforced if you go above the gross score of either of the two bucks. The penalty will add 10 points if you guess over on 1 buck or add 20 if you go over on both bucks scores. Here is few examples.

Your Guess
Buck 1 score 160
Buck 2 Score 160

Total 320

SO lets say the official scores were:

Buck 1 scored 157
Buck 2 scored 165

For a total of 322

Your total was 320 and the official was 322.

So When NPADEN does the scoring results you would get a +2 for overall difference and then a +10 for over scoring buck 1
So in the end results you would have a +12

If you over scored both bucks then you would get a +20 and then the difference in your total on the end results by NPADEN. If you under score both then all you will get for the end results is the difference for total score.

SO READ CAREFULLY HERE!!! YOUR GOAL IS TO GUESS THE AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN WITHOUT GOING OVER ON BOTH BUCKS AND THEN ADD THEM UP FOR A TOTAL!! IF YOU OVER SCORE A BUCK NPADEN WILL ADD +10 TO YOUR TOTAL DIFFERENCE. IF YOU OVER SCORE BOTH THEN NPADEN WILL ADD A +20 TO YOUR TOTAL DIFFERENCE. IF YOU UNDER SCORE EACH BUCK THEN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR ACTUAL TOTAL AND THE OFFICIAL TOTAL RESULTS WHEN POSTED IS ALL THAT WILL BE ADDED BY NPADEN. (SORRY NPADEN LOVE YA)

Rules.

1. The person with the lowest overall total will receive a hunting video.
2. Only one guess per MM member please.
3. You don't have to be in the overall score contest for the bow to play. Anyone can play to have a chance in the video.
4. You have to post two scores and a total or you will be disqualified from the contest.
5. Contest will end next sunday evening June 12th
6. You will score the bucks from left to right on your screen. Buck number one is furthest left and buck number two is on the right.

I will do post number 1 so people can follow if they are confused.

LOL, I thought the same thing!

I tell you what, I'm going to charge Curtis double what I've been charging to tabulate this contest, it's going to take at least twice as long!

Let's see.... If I take what I'm currently getting to keep up with all this and multiply it by 2... it's a whopping nada, zilch, nuthin... ;-)

I guess I do get some personal satisfaction out of it knowing that I'm doing pretty well on the overall contest, but now it looks like I might get that taken away from me too!

NVHUNTER, the rules have always changed for the most part from week to week. Sorry, but I think this also makes it more interesting. It kinda makes you think a little before you post knowing if you go over it may hurt you overall score. Again these are just for fun, I thought scoring just one animal every week kinda got boring. Just trying to make it fun for people, but looks like I am struggling. Thanks for playing though. There are a lot of people who are not playing because they are afraid they may look dumb if they are not close or a variety of other reasons. Hope this answers your question.

Curtis said they may be able to wrangle up a gift certificate or something for me. I'm doing it more to keep up with it myself than anything. I would sure take the free mount though!

It has been really interesting so far and it looks like it may even get more interesting for the next few contests! I was hoping for some easy antelope guesses so those of us up toward the top could just coast in and stay at the top! Who knows what he's going to do from here, we may be scoring a moose, elk, deer and antelope in the next contest or something like that.
