Did they cut deer tags?....looking at the draw stats, the odds of drawing seemed to go down a bit from last year. Kudos if they dropped buck tags because of winter kill.

Unit 125 deer for me! Love the dates - should be rutting.

Have to give up some blacktail rut hunting action here in Alaska to go chase down a muley.

I drew unit 105 rifle deer, should be a great hunt if anyone has any info feel free to pm me, I researched it a lot and now haev to start narrowing down areas to focus on.

My good friend who is a former boss and also a local Plumbing Contr., along with his son-in-law, combined their less than max total points to hit the jackpot by pulling random 102 rifle tags. Nice!!

I struck out for deer for the 9th year running on the limited quota side of things fist seven years of trying for ferris the area 90 now 34 im just not ment to have a limited quota deer tag i just drew a 73 type 1 speed goat. and a ferris reduced price cow

Robb -
I been a long time reader but I don't post much. My Son, who is 12, drew a 102 tag his first time putting in (We should have put in as a party! Oh well) I would love to see him get a chance at a decent buck (22" to 24") If you're willing I would love some help on where to start.

DonV---Unit 105 is under the General Region tag, so you have a lot of units up there to hunt in that aren't LE besides 105.

th3006---What exactly is your problem and I'll try to help. Send me an email or PM and I'll work with you to see what is up even if I have to go in and find out for you!

I drew 119 mule deer to go along with the Unit 7 elk tag I drew earlier. I guess I will be spending some time in WY this year.

Toss me a PM with your E-addy Derek. Touchbase with dwalton too as he OWNS that unit!! when it comes to the deer/elk/antelope overlaps. haha

Mike when ya draw an LQ tag you are restricted to that (those) units only.

Some of those region gen tags end the day before the LQ starts. Most prolly why they are easier to draw.

Don really had me wondering about that when he just said 105 and I looked on the map and it was not colored to show it as a LE unit. That should be a great tag Don drew with a good chance at some rut activity and better bucks coming out of the woodwork.

Robb---I dropped a tip about buying stamps, etc. online on the other thread you started.

TOPGUN no problem there where 3 non res tags in the special draw me and Don got 2 of them.Should be a really good hunt it has been LE for about 4-5 years now on the later dates.

I drew a general area tag. First out of state hunt for me. Do i need to buy the conservation stamp now or can i just buy one when i go fishing there next week?

It would be simple to buy it while on your fishing trip, but you can even go into your account on the F&G website and buy it right online and print it out too.
