I just got my 2010 Colorado buck back along with a buck I killed with a muzzle loader back in 1995 that I had re-mounted. I've used a few taxidermists over the years, but I've found a new one I'm sticking with.

Ty Clingler of Fall Taxidermy of St. Anthony (Parker) Idaho is a phenomenal artist. It doesn't hurt that he is one of the most reasonable taxidermists in the valley either.

These mounts have been done for some time; I just hadn't found the time to go pick them up.

This first buck is from CO unit 30 3rd season. It was a really tough year in 30 and this was the best buck I saw. We did see one three point that had a little larger frame, but I liked this buck better. I videotaped this buck for about 15 minutes on opening day, and then let him walk. After hunting the area for several more days and passing on lots of other bucks, I decided that if this buck gave me another chance, I would take him. The rest is history.

This next buck was a re-mount like I said. It is my best buck to date, and I was never happy with the original mount. I'm very pleased with the re-mount.

I think that Ty is hands down the best taxidermist for the money in SE Idaho. His quality is on the top end and his prices are on the low end for this area. He has great attention to detail and these photos don't do the mounts justice. The eyes, ears, nostrils, etc. all look amazing.

Here are a few close ups to show the attention to detail. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for looking, Smokepoler63

Wow smokepoler pretty unique deer and I gotta hand it to the taxidermist looks like professional grade work where in idaho is he located I hunt Idaho late archery and maybe if I killed a bruiser I would consider going to that taxidermist. Congrats on a great trophy.

Wstrntines,
He is located in St. Anthony which is 45 minutes NE of Idaho Falls along US 20. The best part other than the fantastic work is what he charges. He only charged me $450 for the full oblique wall pedestal mount. Try to find another taxi that does this quality of work for so cheap, and his turn around time is like 5 to 7 months. Thanks for the compliments on my bucks, Smokepoler63

Beautiful work done by your taxidermist Smokepole. Incredible how both mounts look so real. Thanks for sharing.

Wade Hanks, owner of Hobble Creek Woods (www.hobblecreekwoods.com) makes awesome natural cedar pedestals for taxidermy displays. You can view them at www.pedestalsinc.com

I have been seeing his pedestals at the Hunt Expo every year and want to put together an arangement of two to three of my best bucks on one of his pedestals.

Here are a few examples of what I want to do with my bucks

Nice looking bucks. The coloration of the tear duct in front of the eye is too dark though. The tissue of the tear duct is a flesh color similar to the inside of the nose. The black color should fade at the top of the tear duct.
