When calculating the gross score on a deer such as being done on Monarch Taxidermy's excellent scoring contests, is the spread credit for purposes of the gross score limited to the longest main beam or for the gross score does the buck get the entire inside spread even if it exceeds the longest main beam length?

For example, if a buck had a 25" inside spread but his longest main beam is 22", for his gross score does he get credit for the entire 25" or is he still limited to the 22" for both his gross and his net score?

Thanks,

The inside spread credit is limited to the length of the longest main beam for both gross and net scores.

Thanks guys - that's what I thought. I just wanted to make sure as there is not much room for error on the last two contests with that whopping 30" penalty!
