So this buck has caught my eye. Is he a taker? Or not? Will he end up 28 inches wide and 190? Or not? Should I just let the boy try to launch lead at this one? My son also has a tag.

Take a look at the other two better bucks I found too!

Take a look at the WEBCAST below and photos. Gotta watch the webcast. The buck with several extras is only in the video.

WATCH IT!

This buck below is another darn nice buck that will have some extra stuff and has a sweet frame.

If any kid tries getting a shot you'd best do what you can to be Quicker at getting the shot off first!:D

I don't care if they're big or small!
If they throw lead I like em all!

Letting the kid have 1st shot at that Buck is the thing to do!

But I'd let him know(Seriously!)if he misses I'd add a little lead being thrown!

Yes,Brow,it's a Nice Buck!

I'd let the boy throw some lead at the 5x5. You didn't seem real impressed but that buck with the extras had my heart going. He would be the buck for me. Congrats on the great scouting trip. Looks like you'll have a great fall.

Hey Brian,

Been LONG time buddy since we spoke. ANY of those bucks will look GOOD on the wall buddy!

Depends how much growth remains. Right now i'd guess him to be a 25 1/2 - 26" 170 class buck.

27" 180 is all i can see this buck eventually being this year and he'll have to grow some to get there. He looks to really have some nice mass going and i love the matching forked g-3's!

maybe it is just my cellphone pictures... but doesn't 1 of those look like an elk?

My vote is that he will end up just short of 190, but not by much. I'd guess 187 when he is done. He looks bigger in the video than the pictures. Awesome video by the way.

Piss on the "190" buck, shoot the narrow one with all the extra's!!

Sit tall in the saddle, hold your head up high, keep your eyes fixed to where the trail meets the sky...

I liked the one with the extra's too. Sometimes, at least for me, scores don't tell the whole story.

It is tough when you have to choose which bucks to hunt. Decisions, decisions.

Nice buck, but I don't think he will go much over 180. He will have to do a lot more growing to reach 190+. Still a great deer, and what kid wouldn't be happy shooting either buck?
Bill

Brian, you can't go wrong withe the NT or some of those 4x4's. There all great bucks. Just depends what your looking for. Me personally, I would go with the biggest and widest 4x4 you could find. Good hunting.

Cool video.....I'd shoot either buck. If I saw the 5x5 first, he'd be dead. If I saw the narrow one with all the extras first, he'd be dead. I kinda hope that I'd see the one with all the extras first though. I like the trash.

I'd be shooting that buck and a few of the other one's you didn't blink an eye at. In fact I'll probably be shooting him in my sleep tonight. WOOT! It'd would be cool to see you put him on the ground though. Good Luck! Thanks for the videos.

It's hard to tell because the video is out there a bit but I think you are in the neighborhood of the 28" and 190 when he finishes? Should make 27 and 180's for sure. Good buck either way, would be hard to pass up so if in doubt let the your boy shoot.

I would let some locals graze him / slow him down a bit...then open fire. :)
You know I love you and am joking.

Now You're in as much trouble as me bowhunt!

Well,Almost!:D

"RE: Taker? Or am I a fool? Or both????"

Both! Hey, you ask the question. Kidding.

Looking forward to the harvest video. Hope your kid gets the drop before you.

Be hard to get there with those g4's as small as they are. I think 180 maybe, but not 190. I'd still shoot, esp. with a bow. I think that crazy non-typ is bigger than you think he is. Width is width and he doesn't have much, but a velvet archery buck with all those points would be cooler than the 5x5 IMHO.

At least brush the halter marks off his face first Founder! Now you're just teasing us! Looks to me his front end is about all it's going to be this year but the back end may grow a little more. With as wet as it's been this year he will probably put on another 5 or 6 inches on his back end. Good luck my friend. You know, I will come take a look at them personally if you just give me the GPS coordinates.:D

Not a bad buck. I dont see 190. Seems to still have a few years to go to get big. your the one with the tag do as you please. i wouldnt shoot it tho

Someone ought to shoot.

I'd say just a hair less than 190 gross.

Cool deer. Thanks for sharing

i think that buck is basically done growing. might get a couple more inches.

id shoot the NT that is crossing the snow in the video.

but who cares what i think. shoot the one you like!
