I dont believe I would take him and I also dont think you would be happy with him at this point in your hunting life. Though he is a pretty, medium size buck!

I do believe this same exact Buck is living up high!

For GAWDS Sakes Guys,We Got Kids on this Site,Some of them are 65 years Old!:D

I don't care if they're big or small!
If they throw lead I like em all!
:p

I'll put him at 26 1/2" wide by 19" high, 175 class.

If i see one like that on my Kali LE hunt this year, he's history!

I'm with ya Founder, I scouted and hunted wyoming deer last year, made 8 trips total. Can't remember how many bucks I saw, lots. Saw one 180", one 185" and a 32" 3x4 that wouldn't have scored very well, but was way tall and definetely a shooter. But it seemed that there were 18"-24" little 4 pts everywhere. What gives? How many bucks do you gotta go through, and how much country do you need to scour to find that 190"+ buck?

I wonder if we aren't becoming so obsessed with killing big bucks that we are slowly killing them all off? They are the targeted animal in the west.

In a LE unit I would wait, but in a general deer zone, I would not hesitate to drop the hammer on him.

I'd say a low to mid 170's buck......dump the firepower and send an arrow his way. :)

I would think that if every body just shot big bucks (say over 170 +-) then every year there would be a new crop of big bucks that have had time to get smart, making it possible for a good amount to be able to live another year or two and become monster muleys. Ultimately, if people targeted bucks based on age and not so much size, then we would have a real good herd.

If I were rifle hunting, I'd pass until the last 2-3 days. If I were bowhunting I would take him anytime if he gave me a shot. Nice looking buck, thanks for sharing!

The reason why there is so many 24 inch 3 and 4 points and no 190 inch deer is because western wyoming is ruined. It was once the holy grail of public land muley areas now its just average at best. And thats sad giving the deer herds genetics and potential in that area. Another one of the wyoming Game and fish dep crowning achievements along with miss managing area 102 to the point its no better than the rest of the over hunted public units in the state. Money is the root of all evel
