This is a Northern Utah buck. The picture was taken August 3rd. It looks like he has a little growth still to come.

Would you shoot him with an OTC bow tag? What do you think he will score? 150?

150"?

When CUPSY scores him,He's gonna make somebody mad!

For GAWDS Sakes Guys,We Got Kids on this Site,Some of them are 65 years Old!:D

I don't care if they're big or small!
If they throw lead I like em all!
:p

Only 130's? I thought he had more mass than that. Do you think he will throw any kickers? It looks like he is trying to split again on top.

Call me an optimist, but I think he will max out near 150 and maybe a little over. The back end looks like it still has a fair amount of growth. Good luck! Hope you get a chance at him.

There aren't any big bucks in Northern Utah. He looks like a mature buck. sliver and arrow through that boy.

It was a big bodied 2 point.

I agree he'll be in the 130's but I think the higher end...no way that buck goes 150 with those beams...last one I killed had beams like that and it killed his score :-(

141, yes, I would shoot it with that tag

I'll tell you who it was . . . it was that D@MN Sasquatch!

Thats a character buck man. Not a scorer. Dont even bother scoring him. Hes massive on those back forks and will either split or web out a ton and I would think hes a greta trophy.

Kill that deer!

"You skin grizz?"

140 or under.....

Velvet always adds that 'mass' look.

If you can arrow him go for it!

What is an OTC bow buck tag??? ha

That's a cool buck. I think he'll go 150 pretty easy. I killed a 20 inch buck with nothing in the front that grosses close to 160 - this buck is going to have great backs, those G2's look like they've got a few more inches to go at least.

I'd take him on a General Tag - especially in N. Utah.

IMO that buck won't come close to 150" with the short beams and no real tine length. The best one I've ever shot is definitely better then he is and barely went into the 150s" with tines 2 to 3 times his length. He would be a nice bow buck, but I think he needs 2 years to really grow to make a guy gasp---JMO!

For a general unit public land in Nothern Utah, he is a pretty nice buck. I would not hesitate to take him if I got the chance...If you do not want him, let me know and I will come take care of the situation :)

Hes a shooter with a general tag i also thik he will split on at least one point. He is a young buck with cool genetics. Id love to see him in a year or two but if you get the shot take him or someone else will

Here is a better view of him from head-on.

I don't know if I will go after him. I found another buck with a 3" kicker that is a lot better buck. This one is just cool enough to make me wonder if I was given the chance if I should pull the trigger.

If he splits on his tops, it might be really hard to let him walk.

I'd take him with a bow as soon as I could see my sights on my bow...

He's a great buck, heavy, with character. I think he's a shooter any day with a bow. Heck, on a general unit, I'd take him with any weapon. I haven't killed a good buck like that...

"Therefore, wo be unto him that is at ease in Zion!" 2 Ne. 28: 24

I'd take him the last week of bow season. I've seen half a dozen bigger buck so far this year. The real trick though is running into them close enough to get a good shot. I might just take him on opening day if he gave me a 20 yard shot...

the point is UT Doesn't have an "OTC" archery buck tag. they all go in the draw, so its a general archery buck tag. OTC is like archery elk tags- OTC anyone can go buy.
