has any body hunted this unit before and roughly were is a good area to hunt first time in this unit hunted elk but not deer so if any body can give some good pointer it sure would be helf take my grandson on his first hunt

If you're talking about Arizona I bowhunted elk in 5A 3 years ago. Saw about 20 deer in 8 days. 1 nice buck - maybe 170. He was about 3 miles north of the rim on the 95 road. Looked to me like it would be a tough deer hunt. Wish I could be more helpful. Good luck. Chip.
