Hey all.

I will be heading up for the archery hunt and was hoping some of you with experience could point me toward a good meat cutter should I get lucky.

Thanks and good luck to you all.

Depends on where you live. I'll be in the books this week as well but I'm taking my deer to Thompson's in Erda. Keep the meat cool and just use a place near your home.

wOw- I'm gonna have to second Thompsons- I've taken critters to other places- north, and south, but when I have, I've wished I'd have spent 30 more minutes on the road-

It might be a long way out of an out-of-staters way, but bar none, they do the best job.

I've used Ron's Meats in Helper just north of Price. He has cut up at least 20 elk, 2 deer and 1 moose for my dad and I. He has done an excellent job every time!! No hair, dirt, or shot up meat. He vacuum seals the meat on trays, so it keeps in the freezer w/o getting freezer burned. He also makes really good brauts too.

Mountain man taxidermy in Vernal does awesome Jerky if you want to go that way but they dont do the regular cuts, just jerky.
